Exciting new role responsible for leading the successful delivery of cloud computing expertise in a client consulting environment. This requires a broad based information technology experience, and with specifically strong understanding of SOA, object-oriented analysis and design, and client/server systems. The ideal candidate will be able to determine, evaluate and define the appropriate architectural strategy to align client business objectives with information technology strategies, placing high importance on the overall cost of ownership and investment for the future.. You will work closely with clients and must demonstrate individual, functional and professional knowledge to ensure work products and deliverables are of the highest caliber.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and guide the definition of technology based business solutions ensuring the appropriate and effective use of technology as a means for attaining business value
- Ensure solutions are consistent with clients architectural direction and consist of approved technologies and reusable assets
- Research and evaluate emerging and maturing technologies to facilitate the identification, introduction and exploitation of cloud technologies
- Provide coaching, mentoring and consulting to raise the overall technical competency of client staff and to disseminate an understanding of cloud architecture
DESIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
- Exceptional component architecture and OO programming skills; thorough understanding of distributed computing concepts: SOA, web services and usage of common design patterns
- Proven experience with designing, architecting, and implementing enterprise applications and systems
- Proven experience with implementing Service-Oriented Architectures, messaging, and middleware
- Exceptional in EA methodologies, standardization, reference architecture development, roadmap development, or architecture and design
- Experience with supporting virtualization environments, including VMware, Xen, Hyper-V, or KVM-2+ years of experience with Cloud technologies, including Amazon EC2, Google, or Microsoft Azure and Cloud application migration
EDUCATION AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS
- 10-12 years of IT experience working on technical application and infrastructure design and implementation
- University degree in a related field - preferred
- VCP, CCDE, LZA, ITAC, or TOGAF Certifications - preferred
- ITIL Expert – nice to have
- Six Sigma Black Belt - nice to have
